Janet Marie Hamilton

Janet Marie Hamilton, 76, of Honey Brook, formerly of Downingtown, passed away on Friday, June 3, 2022 at Chester County Hospital, West Chester.

Born in West Chester, Janet was the daughter of the late Raymond and Marie (Sharp) Hamilton. Janet was a 1964 Graduate of Downingtown Senior High School.  She worked at Hutchinson’s Pharmacy in Downingtown and spent most of her career at Downingtown National Bank. 

She was an active member of Windsor Baptist Church prior to becoming a resident at Hickory House Nursing Home.  She served as the Assistant Financial Secretary, volunteered in the nursery room and was involved in various other committees.  She also dedicated time to the Chester County Christian Endeavor program; helping to plan programs and serve meals.  She enjoyed traveling, baking, making crafts, playing board games and spending time with family and friends. Janet is survived by her brother, Robert W. “Butch” Hamilton (wife Ann Saska Hamilton) of Coatesville; nieces: Lisa Hillman (husband Scott) of Coatesville,  Lori Davis (husband Bob) of Kirkwood,  nephew: Todd Hamilton (wife Shelli) of Coatesville, several great-nieces and great-nephews; numerous extended family members and friends.

In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by her brother: Raymond Hamilton, and his wife, Jennie.

A Visitation will be held on Monday, June 13, 2022 from 10-11 AM at Windsor Baptist Church, 213 Little Conestoga Road, Downingtown. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM at the church. Interment will follow at Northwood Cemetery, Downingtown.
