James Wallace Vasile

James Wallace Vasile, 77, of Felton, DE, passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at his home. Before moving to Felton, Jim lived in Waldoboro, ME for 27 years.

He was the son of the late Joseph and Florence Pfeffer Vasile. Jim is survived by his significant other, Janette Owen and nieces Joann Hawk and Linda Feeney.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Joseph Vasile.

Jim grew up in Blackwood, NJ, and graduated in 1961 from Triton High School, Runnemede, NJ where he was class president, played football and was a wrestling conference champion.

He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.

Prior to retirement, Jim was a Communications Technician for AT&T.

Jim was happiest in the outdoors. He spent time salmon fishing in Alaska and fishing in the Florida Keys. He loved hunting, hiking and bird watching.

He was a man of faith, and an active church member of First Baptist Church, Waldoboro, ME and Faith Community Church, Camden, DE. He served as an usher, greeter, and led Men’s Bible Study.

Due to the Covid pandemic, services will be held privately for the family at a later date.
