James F. "T.J." Smith, Jr.

James French “T.J.” Smith, Jr., 35, formerly of Coatesville, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Sunday, April 28, 2019 in Jersey City, New Jersey.

Born and raised in Coatesville, T.J. was the son of the late James F. Smith, Sr. and Denise Chapman and was a 2001 graduate of Coatesville High School.

He pursued his interest for working out and after graduation, worked in the fitness industry. He also worked in landscaping as well.

T.J. enjoyed watching movies and spending time with his daughter.

He was known for his soccer skills, but most importantly, for being a good friend; he would help anyone he could.

T.J. is survived by his beloved, Lindsey Pomice, and their daughter, Alexis, of Toms River, New Jersey; and brother, John McCrossin and his wife, Patricia, of Coatesville; as well as many extended family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 3 pm on Friday, May 17th at the James J. Terry Funeral Home Coatesville Location, 1050 W. Lincoln Highway, Coatesville, PA 19320.

Donations can still be made to T.J.’s Go Fund Me account, as the proceeds received in excess of funeral expenses will be put into a college fund for his daughter, Alexis.
