James P. Kelly, Jr., 75, of Romansville, PA passed away on Monday, January 10, 2022 at his residence.

Born in Philadelphia, James was the son of the late James P. and Rita (Moran) Kelly. He was the beloved husband of Marguerite A. (Sanzick) Kelly. The couple shared over 50 years of marriage.

James was a devoted husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend. After graduating from Monsignor Bonner High School, He enlisted in the US Navy and served overseas for 3 years. He then was employed by Verizon for more than 35-years as a lineman and splicer. James was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Downingtown, the Coatesville VA, and he was a retired member of the Communication Workers of America. He enjoyed traveling to the casino, playing the lottery, hunting, fishing and enjoying a few Miller Lite’s. He was a dedicated Philadelphia Eagles and Flyers fan. Spending time with his family was most important to him.

In addition to his wife, James is survived by his 4 daughters: Kimberly Rachfalski, wife of John, of Glenmore, Melissa Jones, wife of Rodney, of Narvon, Eileen Kelly of Thorndale, and Katie Thomas, wife of Jeff, of Morgantown; grandchildren: Hilary, Madeline, Josh, Molly Kate, Andrew, Justin, Owen, Riley, and Lucy; siblings: Marie Hudson, Eileen Isselmann, and Robert Kelly.

In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by: his granddaughter Hannah, and siblings: Patricia Dunn, Rita Devereaux, and Jeannie Quigley.

A Visitation will be held from 9:45-10:45 AM on Friday, January 14, 2022 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 332 Manor Ave., Downingtown. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM at the church.  Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.

Memorial contributions in James’ name may be made to either the American Lung Association or the Coatesville VA.
