Helen Marie Beam

Helen M. Beam, 89, of Downingtown, passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2019, surrounded by family.

Helen was born in Downingtown, PA, to the late Frank and Margaret McCombs.

For over twenty years, Helen worked at Pepperidge Farm on the assembly line. In her spare time, she enjoyed bird watching, tending to her garden, and traveling. Her favorite places to escape to were Chincoteague, VA, and to their family’s mountain home in Loganton, PA. She truly appreciated the beauty nature offered, and admired cardinals and hummingbirds. Her true pride and joy was her family. She made a true effort to gather her family every Sunday to sit and have one of her delicious home cooked meals.

In addition to her parents, Helen is preceded in death by her husband John B. Beam Jr., whom together shared 68 years of marriage, and 3 siblings; Irene McLees, William McCombs, and Barbara Reineer.

Helen is survived by two daughters; Patricia Wunsch (Gregory) and Deborah Beam, 2 granddaughters; Jennifer Mullen and Katherine McCormick.

Relatives and friends are invited to Helen’s funeral services, Tuesday, March 12, 2019, at 11am, at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown, PA 19335, where family and friends will be received from 9:45am-10:45am. Interment Hopewell Cemetery.
