Guy Seltzer, age 53, of Philadelphia, PA, passed away suddenly, on Thursday, October 5, 2017. Guy was born and raised in Philadelphia by his parents, Henry and Olga (Messick) Seltzer, and his sister 15 years his senior, Gwen (Reed) Stillwell. Everyone who knew Guy knows he was a frustrated, unfiltered stand-up comedian who loved shocking people and making them laugh. His sister still shudders recalling the time she found a rubber rat perched inside her refrigerator or the many times she cracked an uncooked egg buried in a bowl of hard boiled eggs. Guy certainly kept things exciting. 

Guy lived in Lower Merion PA as a child, moved to NJ to live with his sister, niece and nephew as a teen, and lived in Philadelphia for most of his adult life. 

Guy is survived, loved, and truly missed by his sister and her husband, Gwen & Wes Stillwell, niece Kelly, her husband Eric, nephew Chuck, his wife Katie, grandniece LucyKate, grandnephews Dylan & James, and loving extended family Michelle, Micaela, Michael, and Keila. 

The family is honoring Guy’s wishes that there be no public service or memorial. For those friends and family members wishing to make a donation in Guy’s name, please follow his example by paying it forward. Donate a coat to keep someone warm. Buy lunch for someone who is hungry. Provide Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner to a family in need. Donate toys/clothing/essentials to those less fortunate. Do something kind in Guy’s memory.
