Gloria E. Williams

Gloria E. Williams, 76, formerly of Southern Pines, NC, passed away on Sunday, September 2, 2018 at Neighborhood Hospice of West Chester.  She was the beloved wife of Robert F. Williams, Jr., with whom she shared 57 years of marriage. 

Born in Wytheville, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Denton Franklin and Margaret Bogle Eidam.

Gloria worked as a service manager for Paparone Builders in Gloucester Township New Jersey before retiring in 1997.  In December 1997 she and her husband moved to Seven Lakes, NC.   Gloria was a very caring and giving person and it showed in her volunteering efforts for the First Health, Clara McLean House and as a tutor for children with English as a second language sponsored by the West End Presbyterian Church.  In her free time, Gloria enjoyed painting.  She was a talented artist, very crafty, and liked sewing and crochet.  Gloria was full of life and loved spending time with friends and family.

In addition to her husband, Gloria is survived by her son, Robert F. Williams, III and his wife Suzanne T.; her daughter, Angela Williams-Diaz and her husband Gerald Diaz;  and by her six grandchildren, Tyler A. 24, Robert F., IV 22, Emory N. 20, Ryan P.18, Tristan M. 18 and Cailyn M. 15. She is also survived by a sister, Noralee Weinstein and a brother-in-law, Charles L. Williams and his wife, Carol.  Gloria was predeceased by a brother, Rodney Eidam.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 8, 2018 in the chapel at St. Joseph Church, 338 Manor Avenue, Downingtown PA.

Interment will be private with the family.
