Georgette A. Finck

Georgette A. Finck, 68, of Thorndale, passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family.  She was the beloved wife of Henry Louis Finck, with whom she shared 50 years of marriage.  Georgette and Henry met on a blind date and the moment he saw her, he knew she was the woman he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. 

Born in Paterson, NJ, she was the daughter of the late George and Rose LaSalle Damiano.

She always had a smile on her face and always found something to be thankful for in every situation. Georgette gave out a lot of hugs and was the world's greatest cheerleader. Her greatest joy in life was making other people happy.  She was one of those people you just wanted to be around. Her beautiful smile was big, but her heart was even bigger. 

She was the eternal optimist, always looking at the bright side of things. During her 6-year battle with lymphoma, she never complained once. 

Georgette was an amazing mother who would do anything for her kids. She was her daughter's best friend in the entire world.  She absolutely adored her grandkids and spent every moment that she could with them.  She loved doing lots of art projects with them or playing games. Every year they carved pumpkins together and baked Christmas cookies. Georgette took them to the beach, even though she hated the beach, just to make them happy and make lasting memories. 

She had a very strong faith and we are sure she is now with her lord and savior, Jesus Christ.

In addition to her husband, Georgette is survived by her son, Travis L. Finck; her daughter, Ashley D. Forsythe and her husband Jason; a brother, Ronald Damiano and his wife Patricia; two grandchildren, Ava and Adam Forsythe and by a nephew, Sloane Damiano.

A public viewing will be held on Friday, January 15, 2021 from 1:30-2:45 p.m. at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown.  Weather permitting, we will hold a brief memorial service outside in the funeral home parking lot starting at 3:00 p.m..  Please dress accordingly for this outdoor memorial service.  Should there be rain or frigid weather, the memorial service will be held privately indoors with the limited family and live streamed for extended family and friends.

Please Note: To align with the Governors guidance and protect the health of those in attendance, all guests attending are asked to wear a mask and social distance.  Due to the PA Governor’s orders, funeral home staff will be limiting the number of guests allowed in the funeral home at one time.  Please dress accordingly and be prepared to stand in line outside of the funeral home.  All guests are also asked not to touch the family, keep your distance and to keep conversation limited to allow other guests to enter in a reasonable time.
