George A. Morlock, 91, formerly of Wallingford, passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2022 at Eagleview Landing in Exton. He was the beloved husband of Stephanie D. Girard Morlock, with whom he shared 66 years of marriage.
Born in Shamokin, PA, he was the son of the late Alfred and Dorothy Honicker Morlock.
George served in the Navy during the Korean War. He was the owner and operator of a Gulf Service station in Center City Philadelphia for over 20 years. Upon retiring, he went on to drive for ACTS Inc. and loved working for Bevans Candy in Media. He was an active member of the Garden City Fire Company including Chief Engineer, and was an avid golf enthusiast, Philadelphia Sports fan, and long-time follower of Strath Haven Football.
In addition to his wife, George is survived by his three children, Robert G. Morlock (Jennifer), Michele A. Myers (Mark), and Kim A. Morlock (Philip Van Schalkwyk); eight grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Steven A. Morlock and a brother, Kenneth Morlock.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 22, 2022 at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown. Family and friends will be received from 9:30-10:45 a.m.
Interment services will be held privately with the family in Arlington Cemetery, Drexel Hill.
