Francis H. “Sonny” Golder, 82, of Phoenixville, PA, passed away on Friday, August 31, 2018, at Paoli Hospital.
Sonny was born in West Chester, PA to the late Theodore and Ester Golder. For the last four years, Sonny resided at the Chester Valley Rehabilitation Center.
For 33 years, Sonny worked at the drafting packaging factory in Malvern, as a machine operator. He was a proud US Army Veteran, and served two years in the service. Sonny was a jokester, and always had a light sense of humor. He could bring a smile to anyone’s face with his sarcasm and caring nature. In his spare time, Sonny loved going bowling with his friends. He was a devoted husband, and also a kind and caring friend. Sonny is deeply missed by his loving wife Vivian.
In addition to his parents, Sonny is preceded in death by his brother Gene Golder, who passed away in 1971.
Sonny leaves behind his wife Vivian Golder, whom together shared 52 years of marriage, stepdaughter Blanche Speaker, and many extended family members and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to Sonny’s funeral services on Wednesday, September 5, 2018, at 11AM, at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, where family and friends may visit from 10AM-10:50AM. Interment will follow to Romansville United Methodist Cemetery.
