Everett T. Lang, 91, of Downingtown, passed away on Friday, September 16, 2022 at his residence, with his loving family by his side. He was the husband of Santa (Gringer) Lang, sharing what would have been 70 years of marriage this September 27th.
Born in West Chester on July 19, 1931, he was the son of the late Theodore and Katherine (Temple) Lang. Everett graduated from Downingtown High School with the class of 1949, and went on to receive his Associate’s Degree from the University of Penn. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy. Everett worked as a Real Estate Broker, owning and operating his own company. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, a past member of Chester County Board of Realtors, and was a Downingtown Borough Councilman. He always enjoyed riding the tractor around his property, and family was most important to him.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his children Donna L. Kneisly (Michael) of Downingtown, Joseph D. Lang (Lori) of Exton, LTC Ret (US Army) Michael Lang (Lisa Bateman) of Downingtown, Richard T. Lang (Gina) of Marmora, NJ, Dr. Krista Schonrock (Scott) of Salt Lake City, UT; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and sister Barbara Bechtold of New Hope. He was preceded in death by his son Steven J. Lang and brother Delmont Lang.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 23, 2022 at 11 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 332 Manor Avenue, Downingtown, PA 19335. Visitation will be held from 9:45 – 10:45 am prior to mass at the church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Downingtown.
