Erna C. Linde

Erna C. Linde, 90, of Mohnton, Pa, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at her home.  She was the beloved wife of the late Donald Linde, who passed away in 1990.

Born in Philadelphia, she the daughter of the late Anna Grauwickel.

Our Mom was an amazingly beautiful woman who enjoyed the finer things in life and loved spending time with all of her family, including her grand dogs who brought much joy to her life in her later years.  Always ready to travel, you most assuredly could find something,if not many things, in her suitcase that were orange as this was her favorite color.  Having an amazing green thumb, she always loved flowers, gardening and spending time outdoors.  She was always so amazed to see the hummingbirds at the feeder and was thrilled each and every time that she was lucky enough to see one.  She loved to bake, and her apple pies most certainly were the best that any of us had ever eaten.  She was blessed to be married to the love of her life, Donald, for 37 years and lucky enough to have 2 additional companions, Ralph and Norman, later in life who all loved and adored her very much. Our Mother was a beautiful person who will be sorely missed by all who knew her and loved her.  May she rest in sweet and heavenly peace.

She is survived by four children, Patricia A. May (late Owen May), Susan L. Coldren (Tim), David C. Linde (Patricia) and Leslie K. Jaros (Gregory).  She is also survived by six grandchildren, Schuyler, Linde, Seth, Emily, Amelia and Hayden and by two great grandchildren, Dahlia and Lily.

Erna was predeceased by a brother Frank and by three sisters, Shirley, Jeanne and Margaret.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 7, 2021 at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown.  Family and friends will be received from 10:00-10:45 a.m.

Interment will be in Philadelphia Memorial Park, Frazer.
