Eric W. Adams

Eric W. Adams, 40, of Chester Springs, PA passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 28, 2020. 

Born in Bryn Mawr, PA, he was the eldest son of Frederick W. and Immaculata “Lottie” Adams. In addition to his parents, Eric is survived by his brothers, Matthew J.(Paige) and Blake D.(Kristen) Adams and his sisters, Immaculata “Lottie” Hiscock (Jon) and Genna Y. (Josh) Quinn; and his adoring nieces and nephews Caden, Arden, Griffin, Vivien and Everett.

Eric was a graduate of Downingtown High School and remained a resident of Chester County his entire life.  Upon graduation, Eric owned and operated an automotive repair business and spent the better half of the last decade as a tow truck operator.  Eric found joy and comfort in helping others in times of need. 

Affectionately known as “Easy E”, Eric was a gentle soul with a carefree and calm personality, full of gratitude and appreciation for the simple things in life.  Few people in this world are privileged enough to have such a beloved friend, brother, son and Uncle “E” to confide in.  Not always one for words, but always there to listen, expecting nothing in return.  He was a gentle giant who towered over life with care and compassion for others including his adored four-legged friends. Born with a heart of gold, he protected all of those around him with only his spirit surpassing his stature. 

Eric loved spending time with his family and friends, especially on the beaches of Cape May Point, NJ and Key West, FL.  He loved all things loud, including music, cars and motorcycles, a symbol of his resounding soul. Eric was most fulfilled helping others through hard work and generosity whether it be a stranded motorist or a friend in need.  

Eric will be greatly missed by all, leaving giant (size 15) shoes to fill. 

A visitation will be held from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m., Saturday, November 7, 2020 at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown. All in attendance are required to wear a mask, observe social distance and adhere to local guidelines.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Eric’s name may be made to Limbs for Life Foundation (www.limbsforlife.org).
