Emma G. Harvey, 84, of West Chester, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at St. Martha Manor, Downingtown. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert Wilson Harvey, with whom she shared 56 years of marriage prior to his passing in 2011.

Born in West Chester, she was the daughter of the late Isaac and Helen Taft Greenwalt.

Emma enjoyed cooking and baking and she was an avid gardener. Most of all, she loved being a Mom Mom.

She is survived by her children, Susan J. Harvey, Thomas R. Harvey and Gary M. Harvey and his wife Christina and by four grandchildren, Laurie (Michael) Birnbaum, Michael Harvey, Kelsey Harvey and Jessica Harvey. Emma was predeceased by her daughter-in-law, Stephanie J. Harvey.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 23, 2017 at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Ave., Downingtown. Family and friends will be received from 9:45-10:45 a.m.

Interment will be in Grove United Methodist Cemetery, West Chester.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Emma’s name to Neighborhood Hospice of West Chester, 400 E. Marshall Street, West Chester, Pa 19380 or to the Alzheimer's Association, Southeastern Pennsylvania Chapter, 399 Market Street, Suite 102, Philadelphia, Pa 19106 or to a charity of one’s choice.
