Elmira F. “Myra” Thomas, 93, of East Brandywine Twp., passed away on Monday, April 17, 2017 at Hickory House Nursing Home. She was the beloved wife of the late Charles T. Thomas, who passed away in 2005.

Born in Downingtown, she was the daughter of the late William O. and Roxanna Fryberger Beam.

Myra was a life member of Downingtown V.F.W. Auxillary, the East Brandywine Fire Company and a member of the Twin Valley Seniors. She enjoyed gardening, playing bingo and was an avid Phillies fan. She was a life-long resident of East Brandywine Township and a member of Hopewell United Methodist Church, Downingtown.

Myra is survived by her children, C. Edward Thomas (Betty Lou), Sandra Willard (William), Mervin “Bud” T. Thomas and Patricia A. McGrogan (Michael); a brother, Raymond Beam; two sisters, Blanche Hilton and Pauline Kenworthy; Eight grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by five brothers and a sister.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 21, 2017 at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown. Family and friends will be received from 9:45-10:45 a.m.

Interment will be private with the family.
