Ellen T. Jackson, 69, of Downingtown, passed away on Friday, May 29, 2020 at Paoli Hospital.

Born in Yonkers, New York to June and James Tobin, Ellen is survived by husband Brian, children Kevin, Kelly and Sean, daughter in law Nicole and predeceased by daughter Colleen. She is also survived by her sister Jeanne Marino, brother Mike Tobin, sister in law Liz Tobin, brother in law Glenn Jackson, sister in law Margaret Jackson, nieces Jessica Marino, Kayla Jackson, Neshia Jackson and Ashley Tobin, nephews James Marino, Dyami Jackson, Orion Jackson, Damien Tobin and Mother in law Virginia Jackson.

Ellen attended the college of Mt St Vincent for undergraduate and Manhattan University for her graduate degree in her beloved Math. After graduation Ellen began her career teaching at St. Clare Academy in Yonkers where she had attended high school.

With the beginning of the computer age Ellen was recruited to become a program analyst for AT&T in White Plains, New York. With marriage and a move to Long Island Ellen continued her career as a programmer with Norden Systems.

When children arrived and moves to Saratoga, New York and then Downingtown, Pennsylvania, Ellen put her career on hold.  After 16 years Ellen returned to teaching math part time at Delaware County Community College and Chester County OIC, then full time at Bishop Shanahan and then at Immaculata University.

Ellen was a devoted mother and loving wife who dedicated her life to her family. She was an avid reader and loved her crossword puzzles especially at her favorite vacation spot Montauk, New York. Ellen always enjoyed the challenge of a math problem and was as happy to solve it as well as teach it. She also had a love for her Elkhounds.
