Edwin Michael Simon, III., 41, of Downingtown, passed away suddenly on Thursday, October 4, 2018. He was the beloved husband of Kristen Daffin Simon, with whom he shared 10 years of marriage.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of Edwin M. Simon, Jr. and Debra Capano.
Ed graduated from Central High School in 1995 and then went on to Temple University where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in 2000. He was currently working as an Insider Sales Supervisor for Almo Corporation.
He was an avid Philadelphia sports fanatic, especially of the Eagles, where he was a season ticket holder for many years and enjoyed traveling to their away games. He enjoyed watching movies, especially Star Wars, traveling to New Orleans, but most of all he loved playing ball and being a father to his son, Cameron.
In addition to his wife, son, and parents, Ed is survived by his brothers, Dan Simon and his wife Megan and Bobby Simon; sister in law Heather Galyon; his paternal grandmother, Margaret Simon; his step-father, Larry Harvey; step-mother, Barbara Simon; mother and father-in-law, James and Diane Daffin and by a host of step-siblings, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown. Family and friends will be received from 9:00-10:45 a.m.
Interment will be private with the family.
