Edward Joseph Morris

Edward J. Morris, 86, of Honey Brook, passed away on Tuesday, May 23, 2023.

He was the beloved husband of Victoria (Wilhite) Morris, with whom he shared 63 years of marriage.

Born in Philadelphia, Ed was the son of the late Edward Earnest and Sophia (Rambo) Morris.

He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War as a Combat Engineer.

Edward was proud of his accomplishments with his successful career with Wyeth Laboratories before retiring in 1998 with almost 40 years.

Ed loved rooting for the Phillies and the Eagles and most of all, spending time with his family. He especially loved holidays with family and friends.    

He was a devout Catholic and long-time parishioner of St. Peter Church in West Brandywine. He was also a former Knight of Columbus.

In addition to his wife, Edward is survived by four sons, Edward J. Morris, Jr., Thomas V. Morris and his wife, Jeanette, Joseph M. Morris and his wife, Theresa, and Michael Morris and his wife, LeAnn. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and a sister, Constance Morris.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am on Thursday, June 8th at St. Peter Church, 2835 Manor Road, West Brandywine, where family and friends will be received from 10 to 10:45 am. Military Honors will be rendered after the Mass.

Interment will be private for the family at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
