Edna E. Latham

Edna Elizabeth Latham, 90, of Honey Brook, passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2022, at Green Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility. She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas R. Latham, with whom she shared many years of marriage prior to his passing in 2008. They resided in Malvern, PA for years.

Born in Ashe County NC, October 16, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Mason Leonard Perkins and Mattie Lee Harris Perkins. She was the youngest of six siblings, all preceding her in death.

Wife and homemaker for most of her life, Edna shared a passion for antiques with her older sister and her oldest daughter. The family's loving gift from her was the amazing Thanksgiving dinners she served every year.

With a sweet and hospitable nature and wonderful sense of humor, Edna loved family and friend gatherings. Compassionate and caring, she took on personal care giving at a local senior living facility. When she moved to Honey Brook she retired. After the passing of her husband, Roy, she remained as independent in their home as long as possible.

Edna's walk in faith was a long one. She faced many tragedies in her family but learned to accept those things she could not change. This strengthened her faith. Edna loved attending her church and the activities in which she participated. She dearly loved her church family. Today we know she is in Heaven with her Lord and Savior, along with many family and friends who will hold her hand and welcome her to Glory and her Heavenly Home.

Edna is survived by her three children, James G. Barker and h i s wife Alicia, Terry .L Olimpi, and Kathleen Mullin and her husband Richard: a stepson, Bryant Latham and wife Judy and stepdaughter Barbara Whited. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to h e r husband and parents, Edna was predeceased by two children, Link G. Latham and Aimee E. Alenovitz.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 3, 2022, at Faith Community Baptist Church, 1585 Glenside Road, Downingtown. Family and friends will be received from 9:45-10:45 a.m.

Interment will be in Goshen Friends Meeting Church Cemetery, West Chester.
