Dorothy Ann Preitz

Dorothy Ann Preitz, 84, of Moscow, Pa, died peacefully in her sleep on September 16, 2018. For the past several years, she has been living in Chester Springs, near her daughter. She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Catherine Gates and by her husband, “Captain” Bobby.

Dorothy told her daughter Kathy, that she wanted the memory of her to be a happy one; of happy times, laughing times and bright and sunny days. As everyone will remember, Dottie was an avid skier, golfer and loved sailing for over 25 years on Lake Wallenpaupack. She was a generous person who loved having FUN! “Dot-Dot” as she was affectionately known, will be missed dearly by her family.

She is survived by her three children, Kathy Nefferdorf of Chester Springs, Paula Martin of Michigan and Karl Preitz of Lake Ariel. She is also blessed to have 4 grandchildren, Kimme Nefferdorf, Heather Babbie, Connor Martin and Arianna Martin; and by one great grandson, Lucas Babbie.

Dorothy requested a small, intimate burial and blessing for immediate family and friends. For those who have known Dorothy, a short service will be held at noon on Thursday, September 20, 2018 in the Chapel at the Cathedral Cemetery, 1708 Oram Street, Scranton, Pa 18504.
