Dorothy S. Maher

Dorothy S. Maher, 92, of West Brandywine, passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at the Inn at Freedom Village.

She was the beloved wife of the late George T. Maher, Sr., with whom she shared 66 years of marriage at the time of his passing in April 2013.

Born in West Grove, Dorothy was the daughter of the late George M. and Mary T. Massey Smith. 

For many years, she owned and operated a hair salon out of her home. She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed gardening, animals, reading and knitting.  

Mrs. Maher is survived by her son George T. "Tom" Maher, Jr. and his wife, Tina, of West Brandywine; grandchildren, Chris, Dan and Steve Maher; and twelve great-grandchildren.

Services and interment are being held privately for the family.
