Dennis Schultz, 75, of Coatesville, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, December 28, 2021. He was the beloved husband of Jill (Harris) Schultz, with whom he shared 28 years of marriage.
Born in Hatfield, PA, he was the son of the late Frank and Bernice (Sellers) Schultz.
Dennis served our country for four years in the Navy during the Vietnam War on the USS Sanctuary as a Radioman.
Dennis was passionate about motorcycles. He was a member of Blue Comets Motorcycle Club in Skippack in his earlier years. He owned a Harley-Davidson dealership in Lynchburg, VA. After retiring as an Electrician from IBEW Local 380 after 30 years, he attended YTI in York, PA to become a motorcycle mechanic at Classic Harley-Davidson. He then went on to be a bus driver and mechanic at Krapf’s where he finally retired.
He loved hunting, especially bird hunting with one of his dogs. He was a member of the Wild Turkey Hunt Club in Yardley, PA.
Dennis loved racing including NASCAR, sprint car and motorcycles. At one time in his life he had his own sprint car #19 in the USAC racing league. Dennis was always bringing people to sprint car races in hopes they would get the bug.
He also loved his dogs and attended many Springer Spaniel and Cocker Spaniel Field trials.
Dennis loved being around people talking and laughing, especially by a campfire. He, his wife Jill and their pile of dogs were avid campers mainly in Gettysburg, PA making lots of lifelong friends.
In addition to his wife, Dennis is survived by his children, Alisa F. Schultz and K.C. Schultz; and five grandchildren, Matthew, Tony, Kayden, Kyrie and Emmett and three great grandchildren, Zoey, Court and Marcus.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown. Family and friends will be received from 9:30 – 10:45 a.m.
Interment will be private with the family.
