Dean Michael Lusky, age 71, passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at his home in Downingtown, PA.  He was the husband or Mary S. Lusky, with whom he shared 47 years of marriage.  Born in Coatesville, PA, he was the son of John and Lucille Lusky.  He graduated from S. Horace Scott Senior High School in Coatesville, PA in 1967 and attended the University of Alabama.  Dean started his career in 1972 as a title agency representative for Manito Abstract Company before moving to Berks Title, where he worked for over 12 years in both Pennsylvania and Delaware.  Then, in 1986 he started Atlantic Title & Abstract Company in Wilmington, Delaware.  Over the next decade Dean grew his business to the largest producing title insurance agency in Delaware for LandAmerica, employing over 28 people with offices in Wilmington, Delaware, Dover, Delaware, and West Chester, Pennsylvania.  In 1999 he sold the company to LandAmerica and remained on as Delaware State Manager through the transition to Fidelity National Title in 2008.  Dean retired from Fidelity National Title on December 31, 2015 after a long and illustrious career in the title insurance industry.

Dean was a member of Whitford Country Club in Exton, Pennsylvania for 28 years and had a passion for Golf.  He played in every golf tournament he could over the years, winning the member/guest tournament at Whitford in 2010 with his brother Steve, as well as several other Member/Guest tournaments at other country clubs in both Pennsylvania and Delaware.  He had many great friends at Whitford, and the members there nicknamed him, “The Dream.”  In addition to Golfing, Dean enjoyed flying and was a pilot for several years.  He also liked woodworking and made desks, chests, and other items for family members.  Most importantly, he enjoyed traveling with his family and friends, visiting Bermuda, France, Aruba, Jamaica, Nevis, Canada and many destinations in the US over the years.  He most looked forward to visiting his Florida home with his wife and friends.  Dean loved spending time with family and was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.  He was known for his honesty, integrity, confidence, leadership, generosity, and sense of humor.  Dean will be remembered as someone who strived to be a positive force, making a difference in many people’s lives.

He is survived by his loving wife Mary, his children Matt (wife Katie) and Ryan, his granddaughter Sophia, and his five brothers, Bob, Harry, Paul, Bill, and Steve.
