Lieutenant Colonel David Conway Maue, 75, of West Chester, Pennsylvania, passed away on Monday, January 13, 2020 at his home. He was the husband of Joan Guillaume Maue.
Born in Hazleton, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late David Conway Maue Sr. and the late Gene M. Ferron.
He served in the United States Army for 23 years, earning many medals including the Bronze Star. He was Infantry in Vietnam, MP in Germany, Deputy Commandant at Fort Leavenworth, among other accomplishments. He was a cherished son, father, husband, and grandfather who devotedly took care of his own. He was a lover of dogs, cars, military trinkets, and the great outdoors, especially the beach.
In addition to his wife, Lt. Col. Maue is survived by his children, David C. Maue III (Shannon), Donald M. Maue, Mary G. Miller (Enos), Cora D. Tomasini (Dave) and Amy J. Wright (Sean), and his sister, Diane Maue. He is alsosurvived by nine grandchildren, Chase, Haydn, Callia, David IV, Alivia, Baylee, Miles, Gemma, and Nora.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 20, 2020 at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown. Family and friends will be received from 9:30-10:45 a.m.
Interment will be in Hephzibah Cemetery, Coatesville.
