Daria R. "Dolly" Colella

Daria (Dolly) Colella (96), passed away on May 13, 2020 At Barclay Friends from natural causes.

She died peacefully with her Rosary in her hands. Dolly lived in her family home for 95 years. Born in Downingtown Pa, she was the daughter of Joseph & Tomasina. She graduated from Downingtown High School class of 1941. She was employed at Embreeville State Hospital as a purchasing agent for over 45 years.

She was a lifelong member of St Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church in Downingtown. She went to Mass Daily and was a member of ”Sodality of the Blessed Mother” and “Ladies of St Joseph”. Dolly also volunteered for 20 years as a collections clerk for the weekly church donations. She was a member of the Senior Circle at Brandywine Hospital. She enjoyed Reading, Music and spending Birthdays and Holidays with her sisters & brothers and their families. She loved to travel and traveled extensively through the US and Europe.

She will be remembered for her faith and generosity.

She is survived by nieces & nephews, Rose Ann Manetta, Marlene Smith, Joseph & Michael Colella, and Robert Huss along with many great nieces & nephews and more. She is predeceased by her parents, sisters & brothers Mary Cipollini, Concetta Pace, Ann Antonelli , Rose Huss, Domenico (3 mos), Anthony & Joseph Colella.

Dolly's funeral is limited to immediate family, however her mass will be live streamed on Thursday May 21, 2020 at 10:30 am. Please click on the link  at the top of this page
