Daniel L. Karczeski, 65, of Coatesville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 19, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of Pamela A. Ratajczak Karczeski, with whom he shared 42 years of marriage.
Born in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of the late Daniel and Lillian Tremper Karczeski.
He worked as the Division Engineer for and retired from Amtrak after 41 years of service. Daniel was an avid golfer, athlete, musician, sports fan, and fly sniper. His favorite pastime was hanging out with his many friends and family members while enjoying a crab feast and a stiff drink.
In addition to his wife, Daniel is survived by his daughter, Jeanie Karczeski-Zaplitny and her husband Mark; a brother, Michael Karczeski and his wife Linda; and by a sister, Mary Hoover and her husband Don. He is also survived by five nieces, Judy Seraphine, Julie Amoss, Michelle White, Amy Stiff and Elizabeth Stegena.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 23, 2021 at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 1060 W. Lincoln Highway, COATESVILLE. Family and friends will be received from 9:00 a.m. - 10:45 a.m.
