Craig R. West

Craig Richard West, age 68, of Lusby, MD, passed away on October 7, 2019.

Craig was born in Norristown, PA, to the late Robert F. and Elizabeth J. (nee Aland) West.

Craig had an extensive career in telecommunications, and retired from Verizon. Following his time at Verizon, he continued to work in the telecommunication field as a government contractor, ending his career at ECS Federal as a Transport Engineer.

Craig proudly served during the Vietnam era in the Army Reserves.

A man of integrity, Craig made friends easily, but cautiously. If you were in his circle of friends, you were special. He had an opinion on just about everything, but he could find humor in any situation. His mind was sharp and inquisitive, and his humor was undeniable. Some would describe him as very determined and driven, others would say he was more stubborn that a pig-headed mule.

Craig is survived and missed by his devoted sister, Roberta J. (Robin) West, of Downingtown, PA, wife Sherry West, of Williamsburg, VA, step daughter Jennifer Miller, of Philadelphia, PA, and his cherished companion, the English Setter, Hunter.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Richard A. West, Aunt Claire A Tobin, and best friend and brother-in-law David Saylor

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 29, 2019, at 11am, at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown, PA 19335, where family and friends will be received from 10:30am-11am. Interment private.
