Conception “Connie” Henriquez, 71, believing in the power and strength of God’s Loving Grace and the beauty and peace that would await her, passed away on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 in Philadelphia Pennsylvania.
Born in Manhattan, NY, she was the daughter of the late Jose A. Henriquez and the late Bernarda Mensonet-Henriquez.
Connie proudly served her Country in the United States Army, during the Vietnam era, and the United States Navy, where she concluded her career working directly for the Inspector General.
She loved her Naval career and the unity it strengthened with her fellow Veterans. During the past year, Connie enjoyed quality discussions and activities geared towards Veteran rights.
Connie was passionate about her family and close friends. Nothing provided her more joy than spending time with her daughter, grand and great-grandchildren. Connie found calmness in the water and fresh air. She had a great fondness for lions, eagles and word puzzles. She loved her Puerto Rican culture, going dancing, arts and crafts and eating out.
Connie is survived by her daughter, Isabel Ann Morales; her grandchildren, Quentin A. Smith Jr. and Stefan G. Morales-Gabay and by two great grandchildren, Kamden and Bella Rosa Urban-Smith. Her sister, Marion Henriquez; and two brothers, Joseph and William Henriquez, also survive her.
In addition to her parents, Connie was predeceased by her brother, Gilbert Roman and her sisters, Nilda Roman and Gladys O’Farrell.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, October 3, 2018 in the chapel at the Coatesville Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 1400 Blackhorse Hill Road, Coatesville, PA 19320.

Interment will take place at 2:00 p.m. at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, PA 18940.
