Even though I've been out of touch for around 40 yrs., such a memorable connection was formed between the Vollmer and Hanss families that I still feel we are all extended family members. Time and distance may have separated us, but strong feelings still remain. Although I only knew Chuck way back then, it is easy for me to project what a tremendous individual he would have become. My sincerest condolences to all family members.

To the family I offer my most sincere and deepest sympathy. I know Chuck from his business, Paper Mill Furniture. "Quite the craftsman" is an understatement at best. He was an original, one of a kind! Insightful, artistic, detailed and a true businessman. His work and work ethic would not be duplicated by anyone in his craft. Chuck was, too, a real gentleman, extremely patient and soft spoken. I've prayed to God, yet I'm still in disbelief. Family, lean on your faith to forever keep this beautiful man in your memories!!
