Charles Gitzendanner

Charles Gitzendanner, 80, of Downingtown, PA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 28 in the comfort of his home, with his daughters by his side. He died only 16 days after his beloved wife of 58 years.

Born in Mineola, NY, he was the son of the late Carl and Theda Gitzendanner. Charlie earned a B.A. from Hamilton College, an MBA from The Wharton School, and a Ph.D. from NYU. He started his career at Ford Motor Company, co-founded a consulting firm in Pennsylvania, and spent most of his career as partner at A.T. Kearney.

Charlie loved a good cigar, a good book, and a good laugh - he was the king of "dad jokes." He enjoyed playing golf and spending time with his family.

Charlie is survived by his daughters Lesley (Jamie) Carroll, Susan (Joe) Pink, and Cathy (Tim) McClatchy; seven grandchildren; niece Tara Draper and nephew Robert Shenk.
