Charles R. Frederick

Charles R. (Bud) Frederick, 88, of Coatesville, passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at Brandywine Hospital.  He was the beloved husband of Nancy Henzie Frederick, with whom he shared 38 years of marriage.

Born in Phoenixville, he was the son of the late James Edwin and Bertha May Stufflet Frederick.  He spent his early years in Phoenixville before moving to Exton in 1994 and then to Spring Run Estates, West Caln Township .

Bud was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Eagles for over 78 years and in his younger days enjoyed going to their practice sessions and loading up his motor home with friends and family for trips to their games.  He was a Life Member of Valley Forge Volunteer Fire Co and West End Fire Co, Phoenixville.  He was also a Life Time member of the VFW Post formerly located in Paoli.

He enjoyed watching the Eagles and Phillies games, doing jigsaw puzzles, helping his wife in her income tax office and spending time relaxing on his front porch in Spring Run chatting with friends and neighbors.

In addition to his wife, Charles is survived by children Curtis L. Frederick (Linda), Pottstown, Paul D. Murdock (Karen), Elverson, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by six brothers, and three sisters.

A memorial luncheon will be held at Marion Hall Community Center, Spring Run Estates, West Caln Township on Saturday, January 25th at 1:00 P.M.

Interment will be private with the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association or the charity of your choice in his memory.
