Catherine P. “Patty” Bowman, 99, of Honey Brook, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 4, 2021 at Tel Hai Retirement Community.  She was the beloved wife of the late Louis A. Bowman, Sr., with whom she shared 62 years of marriage prior to his passing in 2012.

Born in Downingtown, she was the daughter of the late Emile J. and Margaret Moran Ceulers.

Patty graduated from Downingtown High School in 1940.  She worked for a short time at Acme Markets before staying home to raise her nine children.  Patty was extremely talented at sewing and enjoyed making dolls for her grandchildren.

She was a lifetime member of St. Joseph Church in Downingtown.

Patty is survived by her children, Mary M. Rice (Robert), Louis Andrew Bowman, Jr., Catherine René Todd (Michael), Jane B. Colburn (William), Pamela L. Bowman, Paula A. Brown (William), Lora R. Hoxter (Jon), Lisa C. DiLuigi (Eric), and Christopher A. Bowman; 21 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and a sister, Jane Miller.  She was predeceased by her granddaughter, Bridget Todd and by her siblings, Robert E., Florence May and Margaret L. Ceulers, Violet Old, Margaret Ann Gillespie and Alice Mascherino.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 8, 2021 at St. Joseph Church, 332 Manor Ave., Downingtown.  A visitation for family and friends will also be held from 9:45 – 10:45 a.m. at St. Joseph Church. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Downingtown.
