Catherine R. Andersen, age 97, of Downingtown, PA, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 26, 2018 at the Neighborhood Hospice of West Chester, PA. Catherine was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Martin J. and Delia (Mitchell) Mullen.
Catherine was a faithful member of the Danish Sisterhood of Philadelphia, PA. For over thirty years, Catherine and her late husband John spent their time in Cape May, NJ enjoying the beauty of the beach. Catherine’s favorite pastime was spending time with her family, and being with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Catherine is preceded in death by her husband John, and son-in-law Albert N. Taylor.
Catherine is survived by her 4 children; John E. Andersen,Jr., Cathy R. Taylor, Marie A. Waldner (William), and Marge A. Curran (Joseph), One sister, Helen Cabrelli, 10 grandchildren; Michael Taylor (Carol), Sharon Renz (Rob), Eric Andersen (Jeanette), Karen Andersen, Christa Waldner, Dana Sieck (John), Lauren Foley (Steve),Chris Curran, Kyle Curran, Ryan Curran. 6 great grandchildren; Maxwell, Sean & Conner Renz, Kylie & Logan Andersen, Taylor Foley and numerous nephews and nieces.
Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Catherine’s life on Thursday evening, March 8, 2018, at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown, PA 19335, visitation is from 6-7:30PM, with a 7:30PM liturgy. Interment will be private.
