Carter Philip Nulton, Ph.D, 72, of Elverson, passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2019 at Reading Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Linda Sue Patterson Nulton, with whom he shared 49 years of marriage.
Born in New Brighton, Pa, he was the son of the late Robert G. and Agnes M. Galton Nulton.
Carter was retired from a career in Chemistry/Biochemistry. He was an avid gardener and fostered a love of the earth in his children. He held a great appreciation of English Literature and language, read and studied Theories of higher mathematics and loved music.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Nulton is survived by his three children, Amy C. Persson (Rolf), Daniel P. Nulton (Erica) and Sarah L. Donnelly (Ryan); a brother-in-law, David W. Patterson (Cynthia); sister-in-law, Melanie Patterson and by 7 granddaughters. He was predeceased by a brother, Robert P. Nulton and a brother-in-law, Daniel C. Patterson.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, May 23, 2019 at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown. Family and friends will be received from 3:30-4:00 p.m.
Interment will be private with the family.
