Carolyn L. Steinmeyer, 68, of West Chester, passed away on Monday, October 9, 2017 at Neighborhood Hospice of West Chester.

Born in Palmerton, she was the daughter of the late Peter George and Merle Eddins Bollinger. Carolyn graduated from Northampton High School in 1967 and from St. Luke’s Hospital School of Nursing in 1970.

Carolyn was a Registered Nurse for Girard Medical Center and was a former teacher of Nursing at Immaculata University. She was a glitter enthusiast who enjoyed life, laughter and a good cocktail with family and friends. Carolyn lived her life to the fullest and always had a smile on her face. During the summers, you could find her on the beach in Cape May, NJ. Most of all, she was a loving mother and Gigi who enjoyed every moment spent with her family.

She is survived by her children, Allison L. Steinmeyer and her fiancé John Shields and Andrew P. Steinmeyer and his wife Paige; a brother, David Bollinger and his wife Patti and by two grandchildren, Taryn and Ryder Steinmeyer. She is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held at 6:00 pm, Friday, October 13, 2017 at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown. Family and friends may visit from 5:00 to 6:00 pm. Please wear colorful attire.

Interment will be private with the family.
