Carolyn Williams Maloney transitioned peacefully Friday, October 1, 2021 at Suburban Community Hospital in Norristown, Pennsylvania. She was surrounded and supported by her family.

Carolyn was born on October 15, 1948 to the late Edward and Thelma Williams in Saratoga Springs, New York. She graduated from Saratoga Springs High School in 1967 before attending Cazenovia College for Women, a junior college and she then attended Skidmore College. She graduated from college and moved to New York City to work for AT&T. After working there for about a year, she was promoted to a sales management position. Just after New Year’s Eve 1976, Carolyn was waiting to meet her new supervisor when Ronald walked in. They were both beginning their first day in management positions and it was not long before they were dating. They were wed by the mayor of Saratoga Springs on June 4, 1977.

When Carolyn became pregnant with their first daughter, she and Ronald decided to move out of New York City to Hillsborough, New Jersey where they bought their first home together. Their oldest daughter, Tanya Theresa was born on July 25, 1979 and Christine Carol came 11 years later on July 22, 1990. When her husband retired from AT&T, Carolyn moved to Downingtown, Pennsylvania where she retired from AT&T after 36 years of service. She loved her family fiercely and was happiest when she was with them either shopping in a mall, enjoying a meal at a fabulous restaurant, or relaxing on a beach in the Caribbean.

Carolyn will be remembered by her devoted husband of 44 years, Ronald; two daughters, Tanya and Christine; sister Adele (Edgar) Robinson of Latham, New York; brother Edward Williams, Jr. of Villa Rica, Georgia; nieces Alana Price, Nicole January, Kyra (Brian) Pahler, Samantha Williams; nephews Justin (Stephanie) Williams, Nicholas Williams; and a host of cousins, relatives, and friends.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 11 AM at James J. Terry Funeral Home, 1060 W. Lincoln Highway, COATESVILLE, PA 19320. A Visitation will be held from 9:30-10:45 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Oaklands Cemetery, West Chester. The family requests that all guests at Carolyn's services wear face coverings, regardless of vaccination status.
