Carolyn Preble Krieg, 84, of Honey Brook, passed into the arms of our Lord on Thursday, October 24, 2019 with her husband at her side. She was the beloved wife of John A. “Jack” Krieg, Jr. with whom she shared 63 years of marriage.
Born in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Horace B. and Fannie Martilla Preble. She grew up in Ridley Park, PA, and attended Centenary College. She met her future husband in Ridley Park in 1950.
Carolyn and Jack were married in Mountain Lakes, NJ in 1956. During their 63 years of marriage they enjoyed tennis and golf at Radley Run, spending time at their vacation home in Marathon, FL, and their south Jersey shore summer getaways with family and friends. They loved exploring the world together, but more than anything, Carolyn cherished time with dear friends and loved ones. She had a true gift for making everyone in her world feel special.
In addition to her husband, Carolyn is survived by her children, Patricia K. Alice, Elizabeth K. Wetherby (Joseph Rodriguez) and John A. Krieg, III (Michelle L.). She is also survived by six grandchildren, Brandon, Ryan, Erin, Corey, Connor and David, and by two great grandchildren, Theodore and Addelyn.
Carolyn was predeceased by her son, David P. Krieg and by her sister, Patricia Foster.
A visitation will be held from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m., Sunday, November 17, 2019 at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown, PA 19355.
A private mass and interment will be held with the immediate family.
