Tribute

Bonnie M. Cumens, 66, passed away peacefully at home on March 2, 2019. Born October 2, 1952 in West Chester, she was the loving wife of Robert Cumens, with whom she shared 23 years of marriage. Bonnie was the daughter of the late Charles and Elizabeth Murphy.

She graduated from Henderson High School and worked for 34 years at Pepperidge Farm as a machine operator. Many lovingly knew her as the cookie lady. Bonnie would happily share her bags of goldfish and cookies with family and friends and she was well known for making her special treats of cream puffs and peanut butter tandy cake.
Bonnie felt at home at the beach, where she and Bob shared over 30 summers together with friends and family at Tuckahoe Acres. She enjoyed spending time on the boat, fishing and eating clams.
Bonnie enjoyed spending time with all her grandchildren and they always brought a smile to her face.

Anyone that knew Bonnie, knew she had that one look that would stop you in your tracks, as well as a smile that would light up a room. Her strength and determination will be remembered by all.

Bonnie is survived by her and Robert’s children Tina Young (Michael), Susan Hayes, Robert Cumens (Linda), Rebecca Cumens-Harris (Brian) and Amy Carroll. She had ten grandchildren: Baily, Abigail and Paige, Sarah and Liam, Tigue, Dylan and Taylor, Cheyenne and Gavyn.
