Bonita Laura Fleckenstein

Bonita “Bonnie” Laura Fleckenstein, 89, of West Chester, passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at Chester County Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Myron L. Fleckenstein, with who she shared 51 years of marriage prior to his passing in 2002.

Born in Pender, NE, she was the daughter of the late Loren and Laura Talbott Baker. She was a talented singer and often sang at school events and weddings. When she moved to Omaha, NE she was a soprano soloist for the St Paul Methodist Church. Upon moving to Naperville, IL she devoted herself to her family. She loved reading, gardening, and watching birds. When time permitted, she also enjoyed going on Myron’s business trips and traveling to see her children/grandchildren.

Bonnie is survived by her children, Nancy K. Diskin (Barry), Randall C. Fleckenstein, Dale M. Fleckenstein (Ling) and Paula L. Provost (Robert); Eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She was predeceased by her two brothers, Orren and Loren Baker.

A funeral service will be held at 5:00 p.m., Thursday, September 12, 2019 at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown. Family and friends will be received from 4:00-4:45 p.m.
