Benjamin Schrack Zynn, 95, of Honey Brook, passed away peacefully the night of Thursday, October 18, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. He was the son of the late Samuel and Valeria Zynn (nee Boyd).
He was also predeceased and greeted in Heaven by his beloved wife, Viola; along with grandson Josh S. Zynn; and 11 of his brothers and sisters.
Ben served honorably in the Pacific Theatre during World War II, where he mastered his boxing skills. After the war, Ben was known as a reliable local contractor, building family homes throughout the 1960’s and 70’s.
Ben was a hard worker, never complained, independent, and a genuinely kind man. He loved his pizza, corn on the cob, peanut butter crackers and watching wrestling (which is real), and the Phillies games.
Benjamin was of strong heart and sound mind up until the very end of his life.
Ben is survived by his son, B. Schrack Zynn (Sheri); daughter, Nancy H. Mull (Robert); sister, Edith Welsh; grandchildren, Robert Mull (Annette), Shelly Scott (Randy), Jennifer Walton (DJ); along with great grandchildren, Kevin and Bradley Mull and Meghan and Emily Scott.
A graveside service for Benjamin will be held Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at Hephzibah Baptist Cemetery 2237 Strasburg Rd, Coatesville, PA 19320 at 11 am.
