Benigna "Bea" Finch

Benigna “Bea” Finch, age 90, of Downingtown, PA, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, April 3, 2018, just a few days before her wedding anniversary with her late husband James Earl Finch Sr.

Bea lived independently and drove until the time of her passing. She resided at Ashbridge Manor in Downingtown for the last four years. She was an active member of the Brandywine Senior Circle.
Bea was born in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Charles and Filomena (nee Pistella) Azzara. For 18 years, Bea served as teller and head teller at Mellon Bank, East Hills branch.

Bea was always well-dressed always with her hair and makeup just right. In her spare time, Bea loved dashing to the casino in Delaware, and playing pinnacle. Bea and her late husband Earl loved spending time with family, traveling to Florida and going on cruises. Her name Benigna in Italian translates as warm, kindhearted, and benevolent, which is a true testament of Bea’s life. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

Bea was a devoted mother to James Earl Finch Jr. (spouse Antoinette “Toni”) and Bill (spouse Laurel), grandmother of Billie Kristina, Jamie Lynn Finch-Meister, Justin Evan Finch, and many extended family and friends. She was well-liked and regarded as a giving, kind person.

Bea’s memorial service will be a private celebration of her life.
