Barbara Ellen Klepper

Barbara Ellen (Timmons) Klepper, 81, of Pottstown, passed away on Monday, September 7, 2020, at Brandywine Hall Nursing Home, West Chester.

Born in Rochester, NY, Barbara was the daughter of the late Norman J. and Irene (Cullingworth) Timmons. She was the beloved wife of F. Blair Klepper. The couple shared 43 ½ years of marriage.

Barbara was a graduate of Haverford High School, and earned her Bachelors Degree from Drexel University. She worked for IBM Corp. for many years, and had the distinction of being one of the first, if not the very first woman ever hired as a Marketing Representative by IBM. She enjoyed gourmet cooking, gardening, and adopting ex-racing Greyhounds as well as Whippets and many other breeds of dogs through the years. After retiring, Barbara enjoyed working part-time for Wegmans in Downingtown, as their cheese mavin.

In addition to her husband, Barbara is survived by 4 children: Dr. Jenifer L. Garber of Ocala, FL, Julie M. Zwirzina, wife of John, of Downingtown, PA, Jeffrey M. Garber, husband of Nancy, of Virginia Beach, VA, and Jill E. Garber-Kitakaze, of Las Vegas, NV. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren: Lilyan I. Zwirzina, Jeffrey M. Garber, Jr. husband of Ashley, Natalie Timmons Garber, Matthew C. Carmines, husband of Dr. Crystal Carmines, Angela K. Tripp, Matthew J. Ferri, and Melissa M. Ferri; 6 great-grandchildren: Nevan Carmines, Taegren Carmines, Kaelyn Sattie, Rocco G. Tripp, Levi R. Tripp, and Oliver McGilloway.

Services will be conducted privately at the convenience of the family.

God saw you getting tired
And a cure was not to be
So he put His arms around you

With tearful eyes we watched you
As you slowly slipped away
And though we loved you dearly
We couldn't make you stay.

Your golden heart stopped beating
Your tired hands put to rest
God broke our hearts to prove to us
