Arleen Donna Van Ornum

Arleen Donna Van Ornum, 76, of Wayne, PA passed away from Covid at Paoli Hospital on Thursday, February 11, 2021. Arleen was predeceased by her father, Robert Weinberg, and brother, Michael Waine. She is survived by her mother Miriam Ettinger Weinberg, her partner Brandt Cornish, and her son, Eric Ramras and his wife, Jennifer, as well as her daughter, Dawn Ramras and her husband, Martin Ryan, and grandchildren: Ariane & Justin Sudenfield, Isabelle, Nate & Lily Ramras.

Arleen was born on September 30, 1944, in Brooklyn, NY. She later lived in New Fairfield, Ridgefield, and Brookfield, Connecticut. After relocating to Lancaster, she moved to Wayne, Pennsylvania.

Arleen held a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Western Connecticut State University. She worked in a variety of settings including Wilton Meadows, a Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, where she held her last position. She found fulfilment in her work helping others and was always deeply loved in return because of her authentic caring nature.

Arleen was spiritual and incredibly intuitive. Any challenging questions were met with “I’ll meditate on it”. Arleen was an avid reader and enjoyed chair yoga. She loved to decorate, and re-decorate her home, which always included a beautiful collection of plants. Arleen loved her family very much, and although they lived in different states, she kept in close contact. Nothing was more important to her than spending time with friends and family.
