Anthony John DiOttavio, 57, of Coatesville, passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2017 while visiting Teramo, Italy.
Born in West Chester, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Thomas and Marie (nee Polto) DiOttavio.
Anthony graduated from Downingtown High School where he was a standout football player.
He attended Thaddeus Stephens College where he continued to play football and received a Technology Degree in Mechanical Drawing.
Anthony was employed by All-Fill, Inc. in Exton, as a senior Mechanical Engineer.
Active in the Downingtown community, Anthony attended St. Joseph Church and was a member of Williamson Lodge #309 F. & A. M., Valley of Reading Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry - Reading Consistory, and the Rajah Shrine.
He was also a member of St. Anthony's Lodge, VFW Post 845, and the Thorndale Fire Company.
Anthony was an avid Eagles fan.
Mr. DiOttavio is survived by his birth daughter, Samantha Gorrell (Chris) and son, Michael Lyons; siblings, Ann McGarvey (Bill), Thomas DiOttavio (Wray), Kathleen Doratt (Tom) and Patricia Collins (Tim); and grandchildren. He will be truly missed by his family, acquaintances, and many life-long friends.
An evening visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm on Sunday, July 16th at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Ave., Downingtown, where a Masonic Service will take place at 7:45 pm.
A morning visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:45 am on Monday, July 17th at St. Joseph Church, 338 Manor Ave., Downingtown, followed by his Mass of Christian Burial which will be held at 11 am.
Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Downingtown.
