Ann J McLaughlin (Silverthorn) age 83 of East Bradford passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Friday January 26,2018.  She was the beloved wife of the late George McLaughlin with whom she shared 40 years of marriage.

Born in Philadelphia, Ann was the daughter of the late Edward and Anna Silverthorn (nee Sweeny), she also was proceeded in death by her sister Grace(Bob), and survived by her brother Edward (Bernadette)  She was a graduate of St. John's Catholic High School.

Ann was employed by the West Chester Area School District where she worked for more than 30 plus year's.

Ann was a member of the St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Downingtown.  She was actively involved with Prime Timers, where she served many years as a Treasurer.  She was almost a member of Red Hatters.  Ann also volunteered her services with Saint Joseph's Hope Program..

Ann enjoyed Traveling, the Jersey Shore, Casino Trips, and The Philadelphia Orchestra,  and vacationing with her family.

Ann is survived by her three Children Catherine A Stewart (Joseph) of East Bradford, Michael F. of Gastonia , N.C. Thomas V (Charlotte) of Austin, TX and five grandchildren, Joshua, , Jamie, Jason, Matthew, and Nichole.

A visitation for Ann will be held on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 from 6 to 8 PM at the James J. Terry Funeral home 736 E. Lancaster Ave Downingtown.

Ann’s  Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at 11 AM from St. Joseph Church, 338 Manor Ave., Downingtown where friends may call from 9:45 to 10:45 AM.
