Albert B. Harper, 84, of Coatesville, passed away on Friday, January
22, 2021 at Brandywine Hospital surrounded by his son and daughters.

Born in Philadelphia, Albert was the son of the late Albert W. and
Helen (Bailey) Harper. He was the beloved husband of Lillian F. (Noe)
Harper, who passed in 2016. The couple shared 56 years of marriage.

Al was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps for 9 ½ years,
including a 6 month extension for the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was a
member of the security forces during the Suez Canal Crisis in 1956, he
served in Guam, Mediterranean Cruises, Divisional Drum & Bugle Corps,
a graduate of the Army Rangers School and a member of the prestigious
Marine Drum & Bugle Corps of Marine Barracks, Washington DC.

Al was an active member of the Chester County Marine Corps League for
over 30 years serving as an officer, maintained the locker box, and a
year as Commandant. Al was active at the state level too. He was a
member of the Military Order of Devil Dogs, American Legion and VFW.
Al lived an active life and did plenty of charitable work for veterans
groups.

Al is survived by his children: Albert N. Harper, husband of Jennifer
L., of Anthem, AZ, Susan E. Hillyer, wife of Steven, of Port Deposit,
MD, and Jennifer E. Harper of Downingtown. He is also survived by 10
grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren and his companion Joanne
Baumler.

In addition to his parents and wife, Albert was preceded in death by
his son, Anthony S. Harper, husband of Tammy, of Wilson, NC, and
sisters Helen Kenney and Patricia Kapillas.

A public visitation will be held on Friday, January 29at James J.
Terry Funeral Home, 1060 W. Lincoln Highway, Coatesville, from 10-11
