A. Mildred Strouse

A. Mildred (nee Polzin) Strouse passed away peacefully on Sept. 15, 2018, just four days shy of her 100th birthday, at Tel Hai Retirement Community in Honey Brook, PA. Born in Atglen, PA in 1918 and raised by her parents Frederick H. Polzin and Leah Summers Polzin in Parkesburg, PA.She had 2 brothers; the late William Davis and the late Frederick H. Polzin Jr.

Most of her life she resided in Downingtown, PA. Beloved wife of the late W. Francis Strouse, loving mother of Francis F. Strouse and wife Margina of Elizabethtown, PA and Audrey M. Tecco of West Chester, PA. Mom mom was adored by 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren: Erin Lin and husband Michael and Nathan of Denver, CO; Adam Strouse and wife Angie, Leanna and Mason of Lititz, PA; Andrew Tecco of Fairfax, VA; and Thian Reed of Richmond, VA.

Mildred was a lover of flowers and collector of music boxes. She was a volunteer for school, church, and community programs. A friend to all whose lives she touched.

Graveside funeral services will be private.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Sept. 23, 2018, 2-4pm, at Tel Hai Chapel, the Gathering Room, 1200 Tel Hai Circle, Honey Brook, PA to celebrate her life of 100 years.
