Robert A. Zynn, Sr., 71, of East Brandywine, passed away on Friday, January 6, 2012 at Hickory House Nursing Home.
He was the beloved husband of Sandra Carpenter Zynn, with whom he shared 50 years of marriage.
Born in Coatesville, Robert was the son of the late George W. and Rachel Dry Zynn.
He worked for National Foam and Springton Manor. He was self employed for 45 years as a building contractor. After his retirement, he worked part time for East Brandywine Township maintaining the parks.
Robert was a member of East Brandywine Baptist Church and in the winter months, First Baptist Church of Key Largo, Fl. He was also a lifetime member of East Brandywine Fire Co., an original member of the East Brandywine Hunt Club, and a member of the Hay Creek Association.
He loved restoring antique tractors and enjoyed watching NASCAR and fishing during the winters months in Key Largo, Fl.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Zynn is survived by his children, Kimberly Jefferis and her husband, Daniel, of Glenmoore and Robert A. Zynn, Jr. and his wife, Kellyanne, of East Brandywine; three grandchildren, Rachel, Anna, and Caitlin; and brothers, Paul Zynn of Florida and William Zynn and his wife, Nancy, of Coatesville.
An evening visitation will be held from 6-8 pm on Tuesday, January 10th at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Ave., Downingtown.
A morning visitation will be held from 9:45-10:45 am on Wednesday, January 11th at East Brandywine Baptist Church, 999 Horseshoe Pk. (Route 322), Downingtown, with a service to follow at 11 am.
Interment will be held in Hopewell United Methodist Church Cemetery, Downingtown.
