Vivian B. Young, 81, of Coatesville, passed away on Monday, October 31, 2011 at her home, surrounded by her family.  She was the loving wife of the late Thomas Young, Sr., with whom she had shared 25 years of marriage at the time of his passing.

Born in Caroleen, NC, she was the daughter of the late Harley L. and Althea Fish Buckner.

She was employed by PNC Bank, where she worked in the accounting department.

She volunteered her time to many organizations throughout Chester County, and was a member of the Red Hat Society.

Vivian is survived by her children, Thomas Young, Jr. and his wife, Cynthia of Schwenksville, William Lee Young and his wife, Jill of Gap, and Connee Sutton of Gloucester, VA.  She is also survived by her brother, Boyce Buckner of Columbia, SC, and sister, Chrystal McKinney of Arcadia, SC; and by grandchildren, Tiffany, Megan, Brian, Scott, Melissa and Elizabeth; and her great-grandson, Travis Young.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 4, at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Ave., Downingtown.  A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, November 3, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.  Interment will be in Valley Forge Memorial Gardens, King of Prussia.
