William S. Malany, 73, of East Fallowfield, passed away on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at the Chester County Hospital in West Chester.

He was the beloved husband of Theresa “Terry” A. (nee Schwartz) Malany with whom he shared 50 years of marriage.

Born in Yeadon, Bill was the son of the late William and Katherine (nee Arnett) Malany.

He was a graduate of Marple Newton High School.

Bill proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy prior to Vietnam.

Beginning to work for his father at the age of 13, Bill invested 50 years into his family’s electrical business, William S. Malany & Sons, Inc., and owned/operated the company before passing on his half to his son, Jason, in 2007.

Bill was the life of the party and enjoyed many things; especially fishing, vegetable gardening, cooking, and making jams and jellies. Above all, his pride and joy was his family and beloved grandchildren.

In addition to his wife Terry, Bill is survived by his children, Jennifer Malany Lease (Chad) and Jason W. Malany (Nicole); sister, Kathryn Ellis (Rick); brother, Jeff Malany (Linda); and grandchildren, Trevor, River and Sawyer Lease and Gillian and Isabelle Malany. 

A Memorial service for Bill will be held at 11 AM on Thursday October 26, 2017 at the James J. Terry Funeral Home - Valley Township Location, 1060 W. Lincoln Highway, Coatesville.

Interment will be private.
